"Choosing a range of people to assist you is what I would call building your Life Support Team. Your Life Support Team is those people, in addition to supportive friends and family, that help you reach your goals. This may include a therapist, coach, personal trainer, financial adviser, medical doctors, and spiritual leaders. They each serve a purpose." |
The above quote was taken from a workshop Claire and I co-created called "Ever wonder what the differences are between a Coach and a Therapist?" As we were planning this workshop it became very clear that most people do not understand the concept of a Life Support Team (I call it a Support Network). All of the titles Claire mentioned are necessary to support you in having a "Thriving" quality of life. I will honestly tell you that I have utilized each of those services at different times of my life to support me through various circumstances or to maintain a lifestyle based on health and wellness.
